How to Inspire Your Peers to Get to School Clean, Green, and
Fun!

Presented by Darrell Davis

“Healthy Kids, Safer Streets, Strong Communities” is the mission of Alameda County’s Safe
Routes to Schools program (SR2S). We organize and support fun, educational activities
that encourage families to walk, bike, carpool, and take transit to school. Through our
collective actions, we will improve the health and well-being of students, we will reduce carbon
emissions from transportation, and we will show that our actions matter and have a direct
impact on our lives and the lives of people in our community. Get the tools to create school-
wide Contests, i-Walk & Roll Day, Bike to School Day, Walk & Roll Wednesdays, and more.
