Alyssa Gomez

Alyssa Gomez is a recent graduate of UC Davis where she studied Environmental Science and Management with a focus in Ecology, Biodiversity and Conservation. There, she participated in many activities including: working on the Student Farm, volunteering at the Botanical Conservatory, teaching environmental education, and helping lead the Environmental Club as Co-President. She currently works for the Alameda County Resource Conservation District and supports a variety of projects such as carbon farm planning, biological monitoring, and urban farming.

 

Through her studies, extra-curricular activities and work, Alyssa has developed a deep appreciation for plants and the land. She believes that by healing the land, we can heal ourselves. It is her goal to share the positive effects being in nature has on our physical, emotional and mental health, through a lens of environmental justice.
